Executive Director at New Pond Village Honored with Distinguished Assisted Living Administrator Award

William (Bill) McGinley CNHA, CALA, CAS, CDAL, FACHCA, Executive Director of New Pond Village, a Brightview Senior Living community in Walpole, Massachusetts, is the 2017 recipient of the ACHCA Distinguished Assisted Living Administrator Award.
The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) made the announcement in mid-January, and, in a press release, stated the “award recognizes an ACHCA Fellow who has demonstrated the highest professional standards as an administrator in post-acute and aging services, specifically, the assisted living setting… Mr. McGinley’s ongoing commitment and service make him an outstanding example and highly deserving of this award.”
Nominated by colleague and friend, Phil Dubois, a nationally recognized teacher, speaker, and subject matter expert on long-term care administration, Mr. McGinley’s said, “I was humbled to learn such a distinguished leader nominated me. I am honored to receive this prestigious award.”
Before joining the team at New Pond Village, Mr. McGinley worked at Whitney Place in Natick, Massachusetts for more than 17 years. Mr. McGinley has also held numerous leadership roles within ACHCA on state and national levels, including Convocation Chair for ACHCA and as past president. He currently serves as Treasurer for the ACHCA Massachusetts chapter. He is also involved in his local community where he was served in a number of capacities with the Metrowest Community Health Care Foundation, Natick Education Foundation, Metro Southwest Regional Employment Board, Bethany Health Center board, Kids Connect, and the Metrowest Chamber of Commerce as well on the Assisted Living Administration Advisory Committee for Saint Joseph’s College.
“Mr. McGinley is well-respected locally, regionally, and nationally, especially in the field of assisted living administration” continued the ACHCA press release. “His willingness to serve and lead are an inspiration and have been invaluable to his local community, the Massachusetts Chapter, and ACHCA National.”
Mr. McGinley will be presented the award at ACHCA’s 51st Annual Convocation and Exposition in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
