Jeffrey K. Hettleman is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Shelter Group and Brightview Senior Living. Mr. Hettleman leads the finance, accounting and risk management operations across the organization, helps lead Shelter’s affordable housing business, and has oversight responsibility for the Shelter owned multifamily communities.
Mr. Hettleman joined Shelter in 1994. Prior to joining Shelter, Mr. Hettleman was an attorney at the law firm of Piper and Marbury in Baltimore, Maryland where he specialized in structuring and closing real estate and corporate transactions.
Mr. Hettleman is a leader and very active in the affordable housing industry at the state and national levels. He is deeply involved in the community and serves on the Mayor of Baltimore’s Workgroup on Homelessness. He is also a past President and current member of the Boards of Directors of AFYA Baltimore Inc. (which runs the AFYA, Tunbridge, and Brehms Lane charter schools in Baltimore City) and the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition.
Mr. Hettleman is a graduate of Haverford College and holds a JD from the Yale Law School.
